Steve Vai is one of the greatest guitarists on Earth. I have so much respect for the guy and "Passion and Warfare" is a classic. It's an instrumental album combining a blend of Space Age music with gutsy guitaring. I've been listening to it now for nearly 8 years and I still find it incredible.

I found out one day that Steve Vai used to be an accordian player. Heh! I couldn't resist giving him a tribute :)

Nuno Bettencourt is another great guitarist. His 'Schizophonic' album is a real classic mix of Rock, Thrash, Industrial, Grunge, Folk and Pop. Sounds like a weird mix that wouldn't sound right but it really does!! His superb guitaring really comes out on tracks such as 'Swollen Princess' and 'Fallen Angels'. He plays EVERYTHING on the album apart from drum machine programming on a couple of tracks. This is one album you really shouldn't miss!!!

'Mourning Widows' is Nuno's latest venture. Click here to visit his webpage.
I'm a keen musician and have written music in all sorts of styles. I started off (in the computer sense anyway) with creating MOD files for a demo crew I was once in called 'Virtual Infinity'. My mate at uni had an archie and had ZOOL on a coverdisk, so I ripped off the samples, ported them to my ST and wrote a tune around them. It wasn't too bad, but I don't have a copy anymore so if any of the old VI lads are about, I'd love a copy.
